Abstract
Quantifying the anthropogenic metals concentrations in black crust (BCs) developing on the surface of historic buildings, gives a general overview of environmental pollution. In this study, trace elements concentrations were determined by ICP-MS in the samples of BCs from the monuments in two urban cities: Zagreb (Croatia) and Jajce (B&H). Higher concentration of trace metals in the sample from Jajce than those from Zagreb, can be associated to the age of the monument and to the different pollution sources.
