Abstract
In this work, Cu/Cu2O nanocomposites were prepared by potential oscillation. The composition and morphology of Cu/Cu2O nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The Cu/Cu2O/FTO electrode showed super electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) oxidation because of the synergistic effects of Cu and Cu2O. The electrocatalytic performance of Cu/Cu2O/FTO was evaluated by linear sweep voltammetry and amperometry. Electrochemical studies showed that the developed biosensor exhibited a wide linear range of 0.2–2000 μM with detection limit of 0.04 μM (S/N = 3). The proposed sensor was successfully applied for the determination o f H 2O2 in milk, indicating a promising platform for the practical applications.
